Are you having a hard time with your dog? Not feeling confident to take your dog out in public? Is it a struggle to stop them from chewing the furniture? Do you constantly deal with pulling or lunging when on walks? Biting the kids or are they fixated towards little animals? It can be hard to connect with your pup when they are acting up.

At Dogtown Pet Spa, we work with you and your dog to help communicate what is needed of them. If obedience is your top priority, we can help.

• If walking nicely on a lead in public is what you want, we can help.
• If off – leash is your overall goal, we can help with that.

We’ll help you understand your pet’s behavior so you can go back to enjoying the pup you always loved. Our dog training program combines private lessons with group classes to help train your dog in real-world situations. We offer consultations where you will meet your dog’s trainer and discuss your training goals. You will also get the opportunity to meet a demo dog that has completed the training to see the level of obedience you can reach. Let our professionals help you to achieve maximum control of your pet while still letting your dog be a dog.

• A total of three, 4-hour Day & Trains at a Dogtown facility
  • These sessions are scheduled in a 4-hour window between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM.
• A total of three, 60-minute private lessons at your home
• A total of three, 60-minute group classes, with a maximum of 4 people and their dogs per class
• This program is customizable to fit your lifestyle. Our trainers utilize their findings from your consultation to tailor curriculum to best suit the needs of you and your pet. We are able to structure the layout of this program (4-hour trainings in the facility, private lessons, and group classes) based on the nature and severity of your pet’s specific training needs. When your dog is with us at Dogtown for the 4-hour sessions, this is their schedule:
  • Build a bond with the trainer.
  • 15 sessions in 4 hours w/20-minute breaks
  • Learning new commands/concerns that were discussed in consultation.
  • Videos to show the commands your dog and trainer worked on that day.
  • Report card on how they did and what exactly they went over with your trainer that day.
  • 30 minute – hands on “go home” lesson with your trainer at the end of the day.
  • Homework paper describing expectations for next time you meet and overall goals for you and your dog in this program.
• This is an amazing program that is more hands on for the owner. A certified Dog Trainer will lay the foundation during the sessions in our facility, then set owners up for success with detailed report cards and homework assignments to be continued in the home. Private lessons and go-home lessons serve as a hand-in-hand coaching opportunity for owners to learn alongside our Certified Dog Trainer. If you want to be more involved with your dogs training and be able to train them at home with little to no help, this program is for you.
• Equipment available for purchase through Dogtown:
  • Elevated cot to ensure a designated joint-friendly area to utilize the place command in the home.
  • Proper training leash and collar to ensure safety and consistency when training in the facility and in the home.
  • Tab leash for quicker correction
  • High value treats to ensure maximum efficacy and efficiency during in home training sessions.

• What to expect for the first 3 nights at Dogtown:
  • Learn command sequence.
  • Potty training before and after every session
  • Quality sessions, 15x a day
  • Build a relationship with trainer.
  • Report cards each day, along with video training on what their dog learned that day and homework for owners to practice while at home.
  • Learn at minimum of 2 commands out of this list: sit, down, heel, door manners, recall, kennel manners, walk nicely on a lead, touch, leave it, drop it
  • Learning the beginning stages of development: Acquisition and Automatic.
• 2 Nights at home includes: homework for owners, 1 on 1 hour sessions with certified trainers to ensure that training is completed while the dog is at home with you and to help with any in home issues.
• What to expect the 2^nd 3 nights at Dogtown;
  • Continue learning command sequence with new commands.
  • Continuing Potty training before and after every session
  • Quality sessions, 15x a day
  • Continue building a relationship with trainer.
  • Detailed report cards every day to ensure the owners understand what their dog is learning.
  • Detailed videos in those report cards to show a visual for the owners to practice while at home.
  • Learning at least 2 commands out of this list: sit, down, heel, door manners, recall, kennel manners, touch, leave it, drop it.
  • Learning the beginning stages of development: Acquisition and Automatic.
• It is our recommendation that you add on at least 3 group classes for your puppy. As proper socialization is a big reason for success in all areas.

• What to expect for the first 4 nights at Dogtown:
  • Learn command sequence.
  • Building a routine that can be transferable to the home life.
  • Quality sessions, 15x a day
  • Build a relationship with trainer.
  • Report cards each day, along with video training on what their dog learned that day and homework for owners to practice while at home.
  • Learn at minimum of 2 commands out of this list: sit, down, heel, door manners, recall, kennel manners, walk nicely on a lead, touch, leave it, drop it, behavior modifications.
  • Learning all 4 stages of development with these commands; Acquisition, Automatic, Generalization, Maintenance. This is to ensure that no matter what atmosphere you put your dog in they will listen. Continued practice is encouraged to make this work.
• 2 Nights at home includes: homework for owners, 1 on 1 hour sessions with certified trainers to ensure that training is getting completed while the dog is at home with you and to help with any in home issues.
• What to expect the 2^nd set of 4 nights at Dogtown;
  • Continue learning command sequence with new commands.
  • Continuing building a routine that is transferable to the home life.
  • Quality sessions, 15x a day
  • Continue working any behavior modification to customer needs.
  • Detailed report cards every day to ensure the owners understand what their dog is learning.
  • Detailed videos in those report cards to show a visual for the owners to practice while at home.
  • Learning at least 2 commands out of this list: sit, down, heel, door manners, recall, kennel manners, touch, leave it, drop it.
  • Learning all 4 stages of development with these commands; Acquisition, Automatic, Generalization, Maintenance. This is to ensure that no matter what atmosphere you put your dog in they will listen. Continued practice is encouraged to make this work.
• 2 Nights at home includes: homework for owners, 1 on 1 hour sessions with certified trainers to ensure that training is getting completed while the dog is at home with you and to help with any in home issues.
• It is our recommendation that you add on at least 3-5 group classes for your dog. As proper socialization is a big reason for success in all areas.

• What to expect with the 5-night sleepover:
  • Continual practice on command sequence w/commands they know 100% of the time.
  • Working said commands on a long lead to establish the Generalization stage.
  • Conditioning the e-collar for emergencies only
  • Daily report card videos updating the owners on what their dog is learning in detail, this makes our training transferable to home life.
  • Visuals on what your dog is learning in detail.
• What to expect for the 2 private lessons: After your dog has completed the 5-night stay at Dogtown, we expect the owners to take charge with their dogs training. We are establishing a routine that is easily attainable with the home life. The 1 on 1 private lessons are customized to your lifestyle, along with the personality of your dog. Here are a few examples of what it will look like:
  • Working your dog outside on a long lead while a Certified Trainer coaches you through the session
  • Taking a trip to a high traffic area and practicing commands while a Certified Trainer coaches you through the session
  • Customizing an at home plan for you and your dog to be successful
• We highly recommend adding 3-5 group classes with this package as being in a high distraction area can be a good test for your dog.
